Walk for Hunger 2010
2:00 PM, on October 10, 2010, rain or shine
Mariners' Wharf Park in Elizabeth City, NC
Registration and sign-in starts at 12:30 PM.
Walk t-shirts are available for adult walkers/recruiters who donate $100 and student walkers/recruiters who donate $50. After you register, please email your name and t-shirt size to us and we will have it ready for you when you check in at either at the Food Bank or on the day of the walk.
Recruiting, walk-route, and other walk materials are available at the Food Bank's website, www.afoodbank.org.
The walk course covers about 3.8 miles. Water and restroom stops will be available.
Following the walk, the walkers will be treated to a snack hosted and provided by Montero's Restaurant in Elizabeth City.
Games and other activities will be available for younger children.
The walk is designed to raise funds to support the hungry and needy served by the Food Bank of the Albemarle. The Food Bank can provide about five pounds of food for each dollar that is raised.
